USDG YIELD

USDG yield: earning on the Global Dollar

USDG, the Global Dollar, is a regulated stablecoin built around sharing reserve income with the platforms that use it. That makes where you hold it matter more than for most coins. Here is how its rewards reach holders and what it earns in DeFi.

How USDG’s rewards reach holders

Paxos earns income on USDG’s reserves and shares it with network partners according to how much USDG each holds for its users. Each partner decides what to do with it. Kraken pays its customers a reward; Robinhood’s Earn product instead lends USDG through a Morpho vault, a variable lending yield that can fall to zero.

So two people holding the same USDG can earn very different amounts, depending on the platform, its membership tiers and their country.

USDG in DeFi

In your own wallet, USDG can be lent or pooled. On 13 October 2026, 9 single-asset USDG pools of $1M or more across 4 chains had a median APY of 4.95%, and half paid between 3.80% and 5.25%. 11 stablecoin pairs of that size included USDG.

Risks to weigh

  • Platform rules. Rewards depend on a partner’s programme, tiers and eligibility, which can change.
  • Availability. On Kraken, USDG isn’t offered in Canada and its rewards exclude the EEA and some US states.
  • Venue risk. DeFi lending and vaults add smart-contract and borrower risk on top of USDG’s own.

How to find the best USDG yield for you

  1. Open the live list. USDG pools of $1M or more, largest first, so tiny pools with outsized rates don’t crowd the top.
  2. Check what pays the APY. The list shows each pool’s base and reward split and its 30-day median and range. A free account opens the full history and the evidence checks still missing.
  3. Price the move. Use the APY calculator to see whether a higher rate pays back the gas and fees of switching.
  4. Set an alert, not a reminder. With a free account, get told in the app, by email or on Discord when your USDG pool’s APY or TVL crosses your line.
