FOR AI ASSISTANTS

Ask your AI assistant what DeFi pools really pay

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code in under five minutes. Your assistant gets market overviews, pool details with the base vs reward split, 90-day history and side-by-side comparisons, every number dated and linked to its source.

Read-only. web3juice never holds funds, never asks for keys or seed phrases and cannot sign transactions. Not financial advice.

Questions you can ask

  • “What does USDC lending pay on each chain right now?”
  • “Find stablecoin pools on Base with at least $5M TVL and no reward tokens.”
  • “Compare the three largest USDT pools on Arbitrum.”
  • “How has the APY on this pool moved over the last 90 days?”
  • “Which of my alert rules matched this week?”

Set up in your assistant

The server address is https://web3juice.com/api/mcp. Pick your assistant. The research tools need no key; to use your own limits and saved data, create an API key on your account page and replace w3j_your_key_here.

Claude Code One command in your terminal.
  1. Run this in a terminal.
  2. Start Claude Code and ask: "What does USDC lending pay on each chain?"
claude mcp add --transport http web3juice https://web3juice.com/api/mcp
Claude Desktop Add a local connection (needs Node.js 18 or newer).
  1. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config.
  2. Paste this into claude_desktop_config.json (merge with any existing "mcpServers"), save, and restart Claude Desktop.

Cursor Add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.
  1. Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new global MCP server (this opens ~/.cursor/mcp.json).
  2. Paste this and save. The server appears with its tools.

VS Code (Copilot) Add it to .vscode/mcp.json.
  1. Create .vscode/mcp.json in your project (or run "MCP: Open User Configuration").
  2. Paste this and save, then press Start above the server entry.

Claude.ai connectors Free research tools, no key.
  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Web3Juice and paste this URL. Claude Free allows one custom connector.
https://web3juice.com/api/mcp

This client cannot send an API key yet, so it uses the free research limits. Sign-in for these clients is planned.

ChatGPT Free research tools, no key (developer mode).
  1. In ChatGPT, turn on Settings → Apps → Advanced → Developer mode (Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces get full custom connectors).
  2. Create a connector, paste this URL and choose "No authentication".
https://web3juice.com/api/mcp

This client cannot send an API key yet, so it uses the free research limits. Sign-in for these clients is planned.

Other assistants: any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the address above, and any stdio client can run npx -y web3juice-mcp (Node.js 18+, optional WEB3JUICE_API_KEY).

What your assistant can do

Market overview

Median and TVL-weighted APY for any filter, broken down by chain, protocol or strategy.

summarize_yields

Find pools

Rank pools by token, chain, protocol, APY and TVL. Sensible defaults hide tiny pools.

search_pools

Pool detail

Base vs reward-token APY, TVL, data age, contract and token addresses, deposit and source links.

get_pool

APY history

7, 30 or 90 days: median, range, latest and the dated samples.

get_pool_history

Compare

Two to five pools side by side with their 30-day ranges.

compare_pools

Data freshness

Which feeds are used, when they last updated and how many pools each lists.

get_data_sources

Assessment method

How the experimental evidence assessment works and what "not scored" means.

get_methodology

With a Pro API key your assistant can also read your saved alerts, notebook captures, manual investments and saved wallet reports (read-only). Ready-made prompts are included: find stablecoin yields, analyse a pool, compare options and a market snapshot.

Why the answers can be checked

  • Dated numbers. Each rate keeps when web3juice retrieved it and, where the source says, when it was measured.
  • Unknown stays unknown. Missing values are reported as missing, never filled in or shown as zero.
  • Base vs reward. Every APY is split into organic yield and reward-token yield, so a headline rate cannot hide an incentive.
  • History you can see. Up to 90 days of saved APY samples per pool, with the basis of each stated.
  • Read-only by design. No tool can change anything, move funds or see a wallet’s keys. Text from data sources is treated as data, never as instructions.

AI assistant FAQ

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside tools and data. Adding web3juice as an MCP server lets your assistant look up DeFi yield data itself instead of guessing or searching the web.

Do I need an account or an API key?

No. The research tools work without signing in, up to 30 calls a minute and 500 a day. A free account gives you an API key so usage is counted per account. Pro raises the limits to 10,000 calls a day and lets your assistant read your own saved alerts and notebook.

Can it move my money or see my wallet?

No. Every tool is read-only. web3juice never holds funds, never asks for private keys or seed phrases and cannot sign or send transactions. An API key only identifies your account; it cannot change anything.

Which AI assistants work with it?

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code can use an API key. Claude.ai connectors and ChatGPT developer mode connect to the free research tools by URL. Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP, or local stdio servers through the web3juice-mcp package, works.

Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?

Pool data comes from public DeFi data feeds and is collected about every 15 minutes. Every number keeps the time web3juice retrieved it and, where the source says, when the source measured it. Missing values stay missing; they are never filled in or shown as zero.

Is this financial advice?

No. web3juice is a research data tool. APYs are variable quotes, not promised returns, and an assessment is not a safety rating. The tools are written so assistants present data, not recommendations.
