Daily stablecoin yield benchmark
What did DeFi stablecoin pools pay on 16 October 2026?
On 16 October 2026 (data retrieved at 07:40 UTC), the TVL-weighted average APY of the 332 DeFi stablecoin pools of $1M or more in the web3juice catalogue was 4.34%. Their median APY was 4.22%, and half of them paid between 2.70% and 6.19%.
One dated number a day for what DeFi stablecoin pools pay: the TVL-weighted average APY of the stablecoin pools in the web3juice catalogue that hold $1M or more, with the median and the middle half beside it. Computed the same way as the monthly stablecoin yield report.
Free to use and quote with its date. Aggregates only: a figure describes many pools at one time, not a rate any deposit receives. Research only: web3juice never holds funds or places trades.
How has the benchmark moved day by day?

How is the benchmark calculated?
- Which pools. Pools the explorer labels as stablecoin pools (made only of recognised stablecoins, one coin alone or several together) whose figures web3juice retrieved in the previous hour, that report an APY and hold at least $1M in total value locked (TVL). Yield-bearing wrappers such as sUSDe are not counted as stablecoins.
- The figures. The TVL-weighted average is the sum of each pool’s APY times its TVL, divided by the pools’ total TVL, so larger pools count for more. The median and the middle half (25th to 75th percentile) count each pool once, interpolating linearly between ranked APYs. This is the method of the monthly stablecoin yield report.
- When. Once per UTC day, from the first complete catalogue update after 00:00 UTC in which every data source reported and at least 100 pools qualified. The retrieval time of each day is shown beside it. A recorded day is never revised; a day without such an update has no figure and is left out, never estimated.
- APY. The total APY as reported at retrieval, including reward tokens where the data reports them. Rates move during the day; the figure is one moment, not a daily average.
- Known limits. Stablecoin labels are not a check of token contracts or pegs. APYs are as the data sources reported them and are not independently verified. Nothing here assesses a pool’s risk, and deposits in DeFi can lose value.
- Not advice. A dated measurement, not a forecast or a recommendation.
The pools behind the figures: the largest stablecoin pools by TVL, or every stablecoin pool in the explorer.

The CSV download has one row per recorded day: date, retrieval time (UTC), number of pools, total TVL in US dollars, TVL-weighted average APY, median APY and the 25th and 75th percentiles, with a citation line at the top. It is free and needs no account.
